Why has it become harder even on calm days

In short, it happens. The background can drop even without training.

Sometimes there was no workout, yet the inside still feels heavier. This is often linked to how the last few days went: sleep, stress, routine, emotional load.

Common reasons are mundane: short sleep, stressful days, late nights, alcohol, routine changes due to travel. During such periods the body can stay tense even if you have not trained.

Another factor is accumulated fatigue. After a series of active days, recovery can dip a bit later, even if you are already resting. These are normal fluctuations.

If there is a tracker, it may show lower recovery without training. That is not a verdict, just a signal that the overall background is heavier.

One day means little on its own. The picture across several days is more informative. If the background persists, it often reflects accumulation rather than one single cause.
